Chemical Soot Blowers
These chemicals are sprayed over the fire area in powder or liquid form intermittently depending upon the severity of deposits. The temperature in the area treated should be above 250°C. The intense heat generated by the chemical burns of the carbon deposits.
Some cleaning chemicals neutralize the sulfur and chlorine in the fuels particularly vegetable waste fuels such as bagasse, husk, straw, oil cakes etc.
Chemical Soot Blowers can be used in all types of Boilers burning any fuel. Chemical Soot Blowers are available in powder form in Tubes for throwing into the furnace or economizer or in liquid form for spray into the areas to be cleaned. For this purpose, Dozing pump and nozzles are required for directing the spray of chemical into the areas to be cleaned. |
